Private versus Marketplace Plans

Private plans are non-marketplace plans. These are intended for you to sell within your practice and do not incur any e-marketplace referral fee from PlanSplit.  They are the best way for you to sell your plans easily and quickly to your existing patients. The PlanSplit team will still handle the billing and administration work so you can focus on patient care.

In the plan creation process, in the final plan review screen, you will see an e-marketplace on/off toggle.  If you toggle on, this plan will appear in the e-marketplace.  If you toggle it off, this plan will not appear in the marketplace and will be placed on your private provider plans page.  You can see the URLs for your marketplace and non-marketplace (private) plans by clicking the Manage Locations button in your Provider Overview.   The characters at the end of the non-marketplace URL is your “Provider Code” for your private plans page.  This is the code you should promote within your practice as it sends your consumers directly to your plans from the PlanSplit homepage. You should also promote your private plans on your website and link them to your non-marketplace URL.

You can have the same and/or different plans to be sold privately vs. in the e-marketplace. If selling the same plans, you can simply duplicate a plan and toggle one copy to e-marketplace on and the other to off.
